Hey Alex, could you tell us about your DJ style & how you first started DJ’ing?
My DJ style is very eclectic - I can play almost anything from jazz, world, Afro beat, soul, funk to disco, house, electronic, techno.
I began DJ’ing in my bedroom and very soon had my first gig in my local night club which lead to regular gigs in bars in the area. I’ve since spread my wings and left the midlands. I now DJ to crowds of people in London’s highest end night clubs, restaurants, bars and hotels.
Have you ever been skinny dipping?
I have been skinny dipping and it was only last year at a world wide festival in Sète in the South of France. It was after a mad night of dancing at the Theatre del Mar and the moonlight lead lots of us into the sea.
You DJ at various venues-which are your three favourites and why?
I love all the spots I play at and it would be difficult to narrow it down to my favourites. The most important thing for me is the staff and making sure they are happy - of course a good sound system and up-to date DJ equipment is very important too. All the places I play; Chiltern, sketch, Sexy Fish, Lou Lou’s, Annabel’s, have their own flavour and I love working with the challenge of how diverse the crowds can be in these establishments.
What are your party essentials?
Party essentials would be my trusty pair of headphones and my music either in usb format or vinyl.
Most inspiring place in the world you've been to?
Probably Venice, there’s nowhere else like it - so much water, it’s crazy and beautiful.
Best party ever?
The best party’s are house parties. They just are. X
