You write for the Financial Times as well as working in fashion, how do you find this juxtaposition?
There is nothing more interesting that the extreme dichotomy of two worlds. I couldn't live in one world without the other, it is balancing me out, it keeps teaching me new things and is making me think more spherical.

Who would you most like to collaborate with next & why?
Be part of Vogue through my writing and through my modelling in the same issue for I think it is a good story to tell. I have done a similar thing for Dazed and Mundial magazine but I like to offer both of my services for more publications.

How did you first get into modelling?
I was taking the role of the model when my creative friends were lacking of models, but I was always interested in fashion and the pleasure of visual aesthetics. Two years ago and already at the age of what a retired model is considered to be, I got scouted via fb by Troy Agency. First shoot was for Noon magazine with the heavy-weights; photographer Mel Bles, the stylist Vanessa Reid and the MUA Thomas de Kluyver, the rest of my career followed the snowball method in combination with hard work.

Who is your icon & why?
I don't have icons but I admire people who work hard and smart. I tend to be interested in the thing that they do best and de-synthesise it in order to understand their success, then I try to implement their secrets into my routine.

How do you hangover?
Luckily I don't get hardcore hangovers, but sleeping and gallons of water is my day-after care routine. Essentially you usually have a hangover because your brain is dehydrated from the alcohol so the best cure to recover quickly is water. Also a banana for breakfast is a vitamin boost and dairy+fish should be avoided the day after.
What's your poison?
White wine if it's a civilised party.
Negroni if it's a boujee party.
G'n'T for the rest (feels like a refreshing drink when dancing).

Most memorable Dirty Stopout moment?
I thought I was in the safe environment of Partygirl anonymous not Partygirl eponymous.
What are your party essentials?
A practical yet extra outfit and my film camera to document the deca(dance).

Number 1 wingman/girl?
Luckily I have three, Ashley Mak has always an extra outfit and positive attitude, Terpichore is an excellent dancer who can go for a five hour non-stop dancing sesh (she is sharing the same name with the muse of dancing from the ancient greek mythology) and Jade knows the best spots just before they get big.
Cleo Peppiatt x Simone Steenberg.
Tell us about a party that blew your mind?
A 'civilised' dinner party for 22 people that we hosted in our flat that turned out to be a party of 80+ people where drag queens showed up out of the blue and danced with us till morning.
