Where is your favourite hangout?
John (my bass player's) garage. We hang out there all the time & have converted it into a studio. It's where we make music, discuss, dream & get high.
Tell us about your music.
My music is such a safe haven & creative outlet for me. I write from a very honest place, 100% from my experiences. I'm so excited to lay down the foundations with my upcoming debut E.P... It's out on 23rd February by the way.
This week it's 'True Colours' by Cyndi Lauper. I love the line 'Don't be afraid to let them show, ‘cause your true colours are beautiful'. Isn't that the most incredible feeling? When you can be 100% yourself around someone & they love you for it & they don't try to change it... (Unless you're a bad person, then lets hope you realise it & change for yourself).
If you were a cocktail, what would you be & why?
I would be an Old Fashioned because it's not a drink for the faint hearted.
What has been your career defining moment so far?
Being able to create & release music in itself, especially in an age where so many people are doing it is something I'm truly grateful for. My last single reached 38 in the UK viral charts which was pretty spectacular. I was extremely surprised & very grateful.
What inspires you?
Waking up each day with another opportunity to make the world a better place.
Favourite lip balm?
Coconut oil! I use coconut oil from head to toe, that includes my hair, lips, bum and toes.
Best party you've ever been to?
My 13th birthday party was pretty rad, it was a fancy dress party & I somehow convinced my godmother to make me a french maid outfit. We sneaked some of the punch & WKD which was there for the older lot. We drank & partied until 11pm. Pretty rad at the time.
Strangest dream or nightmare?
I suffer with sleep paralysis, so I've had some pretty terrifying out of body experience over the years.
Best hangover cure?
Hot water & lemon before bed.
